In late August I went to Hillsboro, Illinois to view a hummingbird count. Imagine counting and banding those tiny birds! Again great weather and pretty views were mine and for $5 I have a banded hummingbird that I hope is taking care of himself on his way south.
It looks like a Florida drive is in the planning stage for early January and I think Washington DC will be in there too. I hope to get to the west coast somewhat soon and then visit with California friends.
