A few weeks ago I returned from a wonderful 10 day trip to Italy with a group of friends. We toured parts of Rome (Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Square and Basilica, the Colosseum and The Roman Forum); then onto Northern Italy: Pisa; Lucca; San Gimignano; Siena; Florence; Verona; Venice; Assisi; Orvieto and back to Rome. It was exhausting but fun. We’re ready to go back to Florence and surrounding towns sometime in the future. That part of Italy is lovely. To the left is a photo of me at the Leaning Tower of Pisa. (I’m hiding my cane. I have Parkinson’s and bought a cane for the trip to steady myself on cobblestone streets and walkways.)
On July 10 I’ll be celebrating my Medicare birthday along with alot of our classmates. My of my where did the time go!! I have no immediate plans to travel to Chicago but when I do will try to meet up with some of our classmates.
Below are a couple more pictures from that trip:
The first picture is of Betty and her friend Maddy in the Colosseum and the second picture is of a vineyard in beautiful Tuscany taken from the motorcoach window.
