Mike Shaughnessy – June 9, 2019

When Mike Shaughnessy send his regrets for the party at Madelon’s, he sent this note and pictures so we all could be updated and enjoy what is happening in his life:

I’m not able to attend the Class Reunion. Just had total knee replacement last Monday. All went well but road trips are off for awhile.

– home is still Edmond, OK
– Jeanne and I celebrated our 49th anniversary last March.
– 2 grandsons in St.Louis (1 headed to US Naval Academy, recruited to play football)
– 3 grandsons in Frisco, TX
– 3 granddaughters in Canberra, Australia the youngest is 6wks old. We’re headed there in early October.
– thanks to Sue, I was able to get contact info for my cousin Barbara Ellis Conroy. It was fun to catch up and share some family tree information.
– Jeanne retired Jan 1st from banking, is loving it. She’s as busy as ever and no job pressures to slow her down
– Me, I’m still at it with a small Oil & Gas Exploration co. No immediate plans to jump ship. Would like to stay with it as it allows me to participate in 4 and 8 man rowing competitions.
– continue to hack at golf. Jeanne shows no mercy when I request more than 1 mulligan a side
– rowing is a fast developing sport along the OK river. I’m able to participate with both our Corp. crew and the military veterans group
Freedom Rows

– San Diego Crew Classic, April 2019

Hope the weather cooperates for the Class Reunion. Will be looking forward to newsletter recap with photos and stories.

Warm regards to all,

Mike Shaughnessy
