Genealogy Event – February, 2018

At our planning meeting last February, a number of people expressed an interest in learning more about Genealogy and how to progress with family research that was already started but needing new direction. Jerry Donahue mentioned a genealogist with whom he was acquainted. He recently contacted her to see if she would be willing to give a class or lecture. Jerry has arranged an informative event for this coming February. All interested classmates are invited to attend. Details of the event and the speaker are below.

Title: Jump Into Genealogy

Description: Do you jump right into a project or stick your toe in and go slowly? This session will provide an overview of genealogical research, ways to get started, and how to expand research you’ve already started.

Speaker: Julie L Bartimus

Bio: Julie started researching in 2003 and enjoys discovering new sources, understanding stories, and solving research problems. She is currently the VP-Programs for the DuPage County Genealogical Society and is also affiliated with the Association of Professional Genealogists, the Polish Genealogical Society of America, the Illinois State Genealogical Society, the National Genealogical Society, and the Chicago Genealogical Society.
