Holiday Lunch – December 10, 2017

December 10th was a bright cold day – and perfect for the Ethelreda 2017 Holiday Lunch. Traverso’s was an inspired pick, and early in the day (12:30 pm) worked out to perfection as we had the whole restaurant to ourselves almost until we were ready to leave.  It is getting harder and harder to find a venue that can accommodate a group of 10+ in  a relatively private space, is reasonably priced, and has a varied and tasty menu. Jerry Donahue worked a little miracle when he found and booked the gathering at Traverso’s.

We were a table of 11: Roger Smith, Patti Poirier, Susan Bennett, Jerry Donahue and his wife Carol, Pat Urbut, Jerry Novick, Sue Hurley, Joan Goliak, Lynn Murphy and Tom Billish. Conversation never stopped, food and drink flowed (mostly food – seems we are drinking less these days), and the price was very affordable.

Below is a slide show from the event. Remember – full-size can be seen by clicking the box with the four little arrows in the bottom right. Enjoy!

This really was fun, and a great location. I’m working on my Ancestry info right now. 8 of my 16 family gifts were Ancestry kits, as requested.
    Enjoy the New Year everyone.
Great job on the news letter, Sue. Thanks,
